About Set-Rite
The idea for the Set-Rite Spacer System was developed by a builder,
Alan Hughes,
who
has been building homes and additions
for over
30 years.
Over the years, he noticed that many plumbing contractors
used a variety
of
materials (copper pipe, pieces of wood, etc.) to shim up the
toilet
flange,
while others would not install the flange until the finished floor
was completed.
Alan started out by making plywood circles which he could have the plumber use
under the toilet flange that could be secured to the sub-floor and
would
still support the johnny bolts.
The Set-Rite Spacers are exactly 1/8"
wider than the standard
toilet flange for support and
also act as a layout tool to find the
precise location
of waste line.
Some of the methods currently being used:

Many builders will not allow a plumber to even glue the pipe
to the
fitting below the floor until the finish floor
is actually installed.
So the plumber has to come
back, remove the pipe, cut it to the
proper height and
finally install the toilet flange. This delay
causes
the plumber to make an additional trip just to complete the installation.
Using the Set-Rite Spacer System eliminates any return trips and allows
the flooring contractor to
just come in and finish his tile installation.

Existing Flange Solution
(Note: The white spacer
was the original prototype until we changed the color to red)
Set-Rite Spacers also have a snap-in-half feature which can be used
to raise an existing toilet flange by sliding them in underneath.
